The series is based on the true story of Isaac Wright Jr. He was imprisoned for an alleged crime. During his years of incarceration, he trains himself as a lawyer and starts helping fellow inmates prove their innocence and expose structural racism. In the process, the protagonist himself fights the battle of his life to prove his own innocence.

The film drama is based on a true story and tells of Carlton Pearson, a rhetorically brilliant preacher of a US evangelical free church. When he questions the dogmatic ideas about 'hell' that he has been taught based on the Bible since childhood, he loses his church. 'Friends' and 'his' community turn away from him. His family becomes increasingly socially excluded. But his courage and trust in God pay off in the end.
